By the result, I’d say many were convinced it’s authentic CPR. Unless this has been in CPR service before 1902, I see no way that it can be all original. I had reached out earlier today, got permission to share the seller pics here. Got some more info on these watches, which might be of interest.

Another recent auction with curious case mark...

Quadron 93. 123-102. “A” stamped after case #2,109,772. Cal 123, early split winding bridge, 2tone, with no adj (nor "unadjusted") marks; 694896 sn.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/126358299855

Having owned multiple Quad 93s w nearby cases, I think “A” here triggered “Applied gold numerals” variant—special order. I have seen gold-embossed “line” dial ones; neither they nor the more-common radium dial variants have yet to show an “A” case stamp.

Btw, appears to be a solid run of at least 1,500 cases—possibly 2,000.

Interesting, for sure an uncommon mark. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, with the Madretsch movement, I was impressed that the bids just kept coming, crazy.

Also 3 digit model number 905 on tag matches inside caseback.

Regale 905, in play by 1956, is a match imo. Not sure about the ring links on the live example. Good to know it's a cal 275.
