Please post your watches you want to have identified here. Be as descriptive as possible, pictures are very helpful, front view, inner back and movement photos will be of great help. Often an oblique view tells more than a frontal photo because it gives more 3D information. Every letter, punch mark, serial number you can observe will be of value for dating and naming the watch.
Please note that Gruen started with sales names in 1930, older watches often do not have sales names but from 1922 to 1930 (1958) can be identified by catalog number. Sales names were reused over time and even more confusing different sales names existed for the same watch when it came originally equipped with a different strap.
Not every single Gruen model can be given a name as the complete sales archive got lost when ownership of the company changed in the late 1950s.
Gruen had more than 10000 different watch models since its original foundation as Columbus Watch Co. in 1875, so IDing a watch is very time consuming as one has to dig through an enormous amount of material for finding a match. Everyhing which narrows down the possibilities is of great help...
