It still amazes me that something so ornate & also permanently displayed in the museum hadn’t been photographed—or that something as large, ornate & valuable as the Quadron gigante (which I think must be a 117) has just disappeared. Now I hear from you, who have seen an escapement model. And perhaps 5 exist?? So much in the shadows still. Btw, thanks again for uncovering all this & bringing it back to light.

Here, for our forum, is the Quadron Gigante finished 1931, with detailed photos taken that year. Caliber ref 123. This is the one supposed to make its first big debut in the Paris Colonial exhibition, then at San Francisco exhibition (still not certain SF actually happened). Watermarked here, but happy to provide clean copy to anyone for personal use.
This appears to be the one seen in 1949 with Katz, in Mr B’s post above.
